Why?  I’m writing to document Ben and my journey in building our forever (at least next 15 years) home. It’s a project that we needed to undertake now with Chloe in the family and things starting to fall apart in the old house.  Who should read this blog? Anyone starting out the process of building!! First admission - We didn’t really do our due diligence, as is usually the case with Ben and I, tending to ‘wing it’ more often than not. We are also quite impulsive. We essentially stumbled upon Carter Grange as someone Ben knew (tradie) thought they were good.  Before we knew it, we had popped down a deposit, and unfortunately once you pay the first dollar, it’s quite hard to change your mind without costing you at least a few thousand dollars.
